I'm Sandi Klein, an international SEND Educational Consultant from Toronto, Canada, with 13+ years of experience in special education and learning support. I've worked across global curricula (IB, Cambridge, American, Canadian, Australian, and more) to help children with neurodiversity, special needs, EAL, and diverse learning profiles thrive.
As someone who grew up hard of hearing and with a learning disability, my work is both personal and professional. I know firsthand the difference the right support can make, and I'm passionate about ensuring every child has the tools to succeed.
Being from Canada, having grown up with intercultural parents (Canadian and Slovakian) and having moved countries five times myself for work, I understand firsthand the challenges expat families face when adapting to a new culture and educational system. Beyond education, I've also traveled to over 60 countries, which has given me a truly global perspective and deeper insight into the unique needs of families living abroad. Fitness is another passion of mine β I enjoy yoga, weight training, spinning, skiing, kite surfing, and playing a variety of sports.
Through Expat SEND Support, I guide families navigating special education and learning support abroad β from assessments and therapy referrals to practical strategies and interventions for home and school. My goal is simple: to reduce stress and empower families to feel prepared, so their children feel supported, understood, and ready to shine β no matter their language, culture, or location in the world.
For over 13 years, I've worked as a special education teacher and consultant, supporting children with diverse needs and helping hundreds of families worldwide. I observed a critical gap for expatriate families, who often struggle with culture shock, language barriers, and limited access to assessments or therapy abroad.
At Expat SEND Support, my mission is to guide families through these challenges by providing comprehensive, culturally sensitive support. My aim is to bridge the gap between families and the services they need. Every family deserves access to high-quality support, no matter where in the world they are.
To make sure your child thrives with the right support, anywhere in the world.
We remove the stress of navigating a new education system, whether you need services in English or your native language.
